MIKA THOMPSON

(Bass and Background Vocals)

Mika’s professional music career began at the age of 5, when he sang at his grandmother's church...for 25 cents.

Through junior high and high school, he focused on playing the tuba. While earning his Music Education degree at Arkansas State University, Mika learned how to play a wide variety of brass, string, woodwind, and percussion instruments, and performed as the opening act for John Michael Montgomery, Jerry Reed, Dan Seals, Johnny Paycheck, David Allen Coe, Jerry Clower, and others.

After college, Mika continued to play in bands while working as a high school band and vocal director.

Five years later, he accepted a position working for Dolly Parton in Branson, MO as the master of ceremonies at the Dixie Stampede.

Eventually, he became the Production Manager as well as a performer. Next, Mika was off to Las Vegas--performing as a soloist/guitarist in venues such as the Mandalay Bay Casino, Mandarin Oriental, Trump Casino, and the MGM. From there, he moved to Myrtle Beach, SC and performed nightly as the lead vocalist in a band, while teaching school at Risen Christ Lutheran during the day.

He finally settled in Orlando, FL, where--in addition to CEONEO--he performs with several area bands, and acts as the music director at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
